Alamance County Tax Administrator Resigns

Alamance County, NC-- Tuesday afternoon, Alamance County Manager Craig Honeycutt announced that Kim Horton, the county's tax administrator is resigning.

He sent this news release and statement to WFMY News 2:

Kim Horton, Tax Administrator for Alamance County has tendered her resignation today to the Chairwoman of the Alamance County Board of Commissioners Linda Massey effective June 12, 2009.

"We appreciate the work that Kim has done for the citizens of Alamance County during this trying revaluation. We understand the challenges that she has faced, but we also think that it is in everyone's best interest to move forward" stated Chairwoman Massey.

The Board of Equalization and Review is in place, and the process for the revaluations will continue until the entire process is completed.
