Greensboro, NC -- Susie, the puppy found burned and beaten in a Triad park, is now on Twitter.

Volunteers at the Guilford County Animal Shelter have turned to the social networking site to keep the public updated on Susie's recovery.

The tweets range from silly to thankful.

  • Thanks @GCAnimalShelter ! I hope everyone supports their local #animalshelters :}
  • My paws are too big for these keys! Even spelled my own name wrong! I need a puppypad! you know, a custom made puppy keyboard..yea thats it!

You can follow Susie's progress on Twitter.  @Susie_GCAS

Shelter workers say that Susie is recovering well.  Her hair is growing back on the top of her head and her whiskers are even growing back.  Her adoption is almost assured since they have had over 300 requests to adopt her.

Susie was found over two weeks ago in Greenfield Park in southwest Greensboro.  She had been beaten and burned.  Police are still looking for information on who left her there.  If you have any information, call Animal Control at 641-5990.
