Chapel Hill, N.C. -- After graduating from Ragsdale High School and moving onto the University Of North Carolina, Chase Jones knew he wanted to be a part of the Tar Heel baseball team.
Each time he steps onto the baseball diamond, Jones is living his dream. Four years ago, that dream was almost taken away.
Jones was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2006 and underwent treatment at the UNC Hospital.
This year he decided to promote awareness and raise money for cancer research.
BaseBald For The Cure was born. For every $100 raised, a member of the Tar Heels baseball team would have their head shaved.
After defeating ACC rival North Carolina State on Sunday, the clippers were brought out.
