Reagan High Students Come Together For Injured Classmate

  • Pfafftown, NC -- Students at Reagan High School held a prayer vigil for the recovery of one of their fellow classmates Friday.

    Nicholas 'Nick' Doub hit black ice while driving to school Thursday morning on Balsom Road.

    Students prayed, sang and spoke out about Nick and the fragility of life.

    "I've known him for a while," said student Andrew Bayard. "he's wacky and funny and brought a smile to everyone's face."

    Student Maddie Tedrw helped jump start the service with a Facebook group.

    "Nick is close friends with everyone and I think he would really appreicate seeing everybody here," Tedrw said.

    Doub is listed in critical condition at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.

    A student in Caswell County was killed while driving to school Thursday morning. Two of his passengers were injured.
