High Point, NC -- Most people are probably not thinking about Christmas yet, but the Salvation Army is already getting ready for the holidays.

They're looking for heroes to ring bells during the holiday season.

The Salvation Army lost 100-150 volunteers when Greensboro's American Express call center shut down. They're looking to sign up bell ringers now, before everyone make their holiday plans.

"When you're actually ringing a bell, you're actually making sure a child that signed up for Christmas has a brighter Christmas," says Capt. Tony Perez with the High Point Salvation Army.

Bell ringing starts in November.

Capt. Perez says you can start signing up now by calling 336-881-5400 or visiting http://salvationarmycarolinas.org.
