Randolph County, NC -- Out of chaos and catastrophe, a calm grows out of sacred ground.

"It's a peaceful place to me. It's just a quiet peaceful place to go and sit. And I feel her presence there when I'm there."

Eight acres in Shanksville, PA.

This is where Sandy Bradshaw's mom comes to cope.

Frank Mickens: "How does the memorial fit into your healing?"

Pat Waugh: "I think it's part of it."

"We talked about going, but it just didn't seem to be happening. I really felt the urge to go. I needed to go there for my own peace of mind," Waugh said.

Pat Waugh didn't make it to the crash site of United Airlines Flight 93 for two months after 9/11.

"I have another daughter that was a flight attendant and she was overseas in Amsterdam on 9/11 and we weren't going anywhere until she was home safely. And then we had Sandy's memorial and a little time passed."

Ms. Waugh believes it just wasn't time yet.

But that time did come. And so did the healing.

"The next night, Sandy came to me in a dream. I had just an urge to go there. Numerous times I thought I have to go, I have to go!"

Frank: "Did you feel a release at that moment?"

Waugh: "Yes, I did. I felt her presence in the bedroom. It's like I was engulfed in this nice, warm feeling."

Frank: "How proud of you of her?"

Waugh: "Very Proud."

Frank: "Tell me about that."

Waugh: "They stood up and did a good job there that day, showed their courage."
