Washington, D.C. -- President Obama is promoting "Small Business Saturday" with a visit to local business Kramerbooks in Washington, DC.
The president took his two daughters, Malia and Sasha, to the store to buy books. While he was there Obama greeted customers and browsed books.
A grandmother at the store asked the President to say hello to her five year old son Alexander Lee Mussehl. The President asked the boy whether he was doing Christmas shopping and the boy shook his head. The President told Alexander he was there supporting small business Saturday.
"Small Business Saturday" is the second annual nationwide event to help Main Street merchants in a tough economy.
