Greensboro, NC -- Hundreds from around the Triad laced up their running shoes to help raise money for a man confined to a wheelchair.
Seth Barwick was paralyzed in 2006 after a car accident.
Barwick grew up playing baseball and even interned with the ACC's Headquarters in Greensboro. While there, Seth made friends who are helping him raise money to do what doctors have told him may be the impossible...walk again.

That said, Seth is determined to prove them wrong and has vowed to walk again. He plans to raise enough money to attend a brain and spinal cord injury facility in Mooresville, NC and participate in their "race to walk" program.
He is looking forward to the opportunity to work with occupational and physical therapists, but insurance only covers so much.
Saturday's 5K was a start in raising money to help Barwick with his expenses. The race netted $30,992 toward's Seth's goal.
