Greensboro, NC -- First Lady Michelle Obama was the star of a graduation in Greensboro.
Greeted with "Aggie Pride" chants, Mrs. Michelle Obama was the speaker for North Carolina A&T State University's spring commencement, Saturday at the Greensboro Coliseum.
The doors opened at 7:30 am. for close to 1,200 students across nine schools and colleges and their family members.
The coliseum said about 17,000 were on hand for the event.
In her speech that lasted about 24 minutes, Mrs. Obama talked about the Greensboro Four and how they changed lives across the country. She said each generation does its part to perfect our union. She challenged them to take that baton because it' now the graduating class's turn.
Students said they were humbled and touched by her words and visit.
