Madison, NC -- It's been a little more than a week since a 20-year old Triad man drowned, while trying to rescue two of his friends.

It happened at the dam of the Dan River, just off Lindsey Bridge Road in Madison on May 17.

20-year old Steven Sizemore got caught in the current after he jumped in to save two others from drowning.

This is not the first death in the area, and on Friday, Greensboro first responders came to the same spot, to practice what they'd do in the event of a similar river rescue.
