According to the family, the boy is not breathing normally and they had to connect him to a catheter to empty his bladder. He is currently on a ventilator and is resting. He is in stable condition.

"Good news is that his right lung is almost the size as his left now," said Pete Denny, Jaxx's father, in an e-mail correspondence with News 2 reporter Lauren Melvin. "He just does not do well with recovery. [It was] not a Good night at all."

Denny said that Jaxx also has a fever, that reached temperatures as high as 101 degrees, and an increased heart rate, which is still in the 160's. His family said that he is on several types of medication, including morephine, Valium, and Tylenol. He said Jaxx's fever has disappeared.

"Although it was just an expansion, it's still major surgery," said Denny. "We are trusting God to do what only God can do now. Thank you for praying."
