Winston-Salem, NC -- Hundreds of elementary-aged kids got a life lesson on Wednesday from a man used to schooling opponents on the basketball court.

Anthony "Ant" Atkinson, a Harlem Globetrotter, spent time in several Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, including Konnoak Elementary. He delivered a message about the "ABCs" of bullying prevention: action, bravery and compassion. Atkinson, who says he was bullied in middle school, entertained and educated the children for about 30 minutes. His speech included getting students and teachers involved in some of the Globetrotters' famous tricks.

The presentation was part of WSFCS participation in Unity Day, which is a national effort to promote bullying prevention. The school district passed out 60,000 orange bracelets to students to increase awareness.
