Statesville, NC-- The North Carolina woman sentenced to prison for killing her 10-year-old disabled stepdaughter is facing 10 years in prison after her conviction on a federal drug charge.

U.S. Attorney Anne M. Tompkins announced Monday that 44-year-old Elisa Baker was also ordered to serve three years under court supervision after completing her prison term.

Prosecutors agreed to drop six other charges after Baker entered a guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Charlotte to conspiracy to sell drugs. Authorities say that between 2006 and 2010, Baker helped distribute more than 50,000 painkillers and anti-anxiety pills in Catawba and Caldwell counties.

Baker is already serving up to 18 years in prison for the death of Zahra Baker, the freckle-faced girl who used a prosthetic leg and hearing aids after battling bone cancer.
