Lexington, NC -- A Lexington man was arrested for multiple break-ins, including a Baptist church that was burglarized two times in two days, according to the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies said their investigation began after the first break-in was reported at the Currytown Baptist Church in Arcadia last Tuesday.
Investigators collected evidence and believe Tony Allen Mabe is responsible for the church break-ins as well as two break-ins at Unified Communications, a home on Circle Drive - including their outbuilding and barn - and multiple vehicles.
Some of the stolen items were recovered, according to deputies.
Mabe was arrested and charged with three counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, two counts of Breaking and Entering to a Place of Worship, 10 counts of Breaking and Entering to Motor Vehicles, five counts of Larceny after Breaking and Entering, one count of Larceny of a Firearm, two counts of Felony Larceny, two counts of Misdemeanor Larceny and two counts of damage to real property.
Mabe was taken to the Davidson County Jail and issued a $50,000 secured bond. He is scheduled to appear in court July 2.
