Police: Man Robbed Of Cash, Tennis Shoes At Gunpoint

Gibsonville, NC -- Police in Gibsonville said they've arrested a man for an alleged robbery that left the victim with no shoes.

Investigators said on Wednesday, May 22, around 10:30 p.m, they received a report of an armed robbery. The victim told officers he was held at gunpoint while the suspect took cash and his pair of tennis shoes that he was wearing.

Junior Alexander Long-Booker was identified as the suspect during the investigation. Detectives obtained a warrant for Long-Booker, charging him with Robbery With a Dangerous Weapon. Police in Gibsonville asked for assistance from the Alamance County Gangs Crime Task Force in locating the suspect.

Saturday, Long-Booker was located in Burlington, and after a brief stand-off, he was taken into custody. Long-Booker was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $52,500 secured bond.
