Rowan County, NC (WBTV) -- Rowan County Sheriff's deputies confiscated 7 vehicles from NASCAR driver Mike Harmon.
Investigators said Harmon stole the cars from racer Jennifer Jo Cobb last year, according to WBTV.
Tuesday, deputies said they took two cars and five trucks from the garages including at Harmon's shop in Mooresville and a storage facility in Catawba County. They also said Harmon broke into Cobb's Mooresville Headquarters and took her hauler to load the cars and trucks.
Harmon was recently in trouble with the law two weeks ago when he was arrested in another incident involving Cobb. Last week a judge issued an order for Harmon to keep away from Cobb, but both plan to finish the racing season.
Harmon spoke with WBTV after posting bail. He said "I've never stolen as much as a piece of bubble gum. To be arrested for a felony is ridiculous."
He says he didn't take the hauler and there's more to the story.
"People that know me know that I didn't do this. It's ridiculous. You know everyone's shop is under surveillance. My shop is under surveillance," Harmon said.
So far Harmon has not been charged for the seven stolen vehicles.
