Fayetteville, NC -- Police say a Fayetteville man died Saturday after an explosion in his front yard, according to WRAL.

Authorities say a group was standing around a fire pit at a home on St. Louis Street around 8:30 p.m. when something caused the explosion. Investigators say it appeared to be an accident.

Martin Antoine Blossom, 28, died in the explosion, which happened in his front yard.

WRAL reports two men, a woman and a girl were hurt in the fire, but their injuries were not life-threatening. Each is getting treatment at Cape Fear Valley Hospital.

Fayetteville police said Sunday the deceased is 28-year-old Martin Antoine Blossom, who lived at the home where the explosion happened.

A 14-year-old is among the three others who were treated at a hospital for injuries that were not life threatening.

Police say the cause of the explosion hasn't been determined, but the preliminary investigation has not shown any signs of foul play and the blast was believed to be accidental.

The explosion happened as several people were standing around a fire pit in the front yard Saturday evening.
