GREENSBORO, N.C. -- The Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk and Run is Sunday, October 20, at NewBridge Bank Park in downtown.
Registration begins at 1:30 p.m.; the run begins at 2:30 p.m. and the walk at 2:35 p.m.
The Greater Greensboro CROP Hunger Walk and Run is a 5k (3.1 miles) community event that raises funds to fight hunger. Funds raised go to Potter's House Community Kitchen at Greensboro Urban Ministry, with the remainder of the funds going to Church World Services to meet human needs and foster self-reliance in other countries.
Organizers expect more than 6,000 walkers and runners, and hope to raise $225,000.
