GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police say they are investigating a woman's kidnapping.
Investigators say the woman is now safe, and went to an area hospital for treatment.
According to police, an employee at the Pop Shoppe on Stanley Road called Friday morning because they were concerned about a co-worker.
While investigating, officers said they received multiple 911 calls about a "possible assault or kidnapping" around the same time the store employee called police.
Officers are still in their early stages of investigating. They say it appears the woman disappeared from the store and reappeared in a wooded area near it. She asked people in a nearby home for help.
Police said the suspect was last seen driving a dark blue SUV.
