THOMASVILLE, N.C. -- Thomasville police have arrested a woman who they say injected a man with a lethal dose of heroin in 2013.
Officials charged Mary Allison Kestler, of Winston-Salem, with Second Degree Murder/Concealment of Death.
In May 2013, police found Manuel Estrada dead in his Thomasville home. His car was missing.
According to police, Kestler injected Estrada three days before they found him. They say she took his car and didn't report Estrada's death.
An autopsy report released in December confirmed Estrada died from heroin overdose.
Kestler is jailed under a $260,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 29.
