Police: Man Shot 'Friend' In The Leg

BURLINGTON, N.C.-- Burlington Police officers have charged a man who allegedly shot another man in the leg Monday afternoon.

According to police, the shooting happened around 2:46 p.m. in the 9200 block of Graham Street. Responding officers found Terrence Daniel who had a single gunshot wound to his leg. Daniels told officers he was shot by James Benjamin Bolds III who was an acquaintance of his.

Daniels was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center with a non-life threatening wound.

Late Tuesday, Detectives issued warrants charging Bolds III with Assault with a Deadly Weapon Inflicting Serious Injury and Possession of Firearm by Felon.

Police did not say what prompted the shooting.
