GREENSBORO, N.C. -- He's used to delivering the mail but Clarence Wright, a postal worker got his very own special delivery after buying a Mega Millions ticket.

Wright played the Quick Pick and matched all five white balls in the drawing on Tuesday, matching lucky numbers 4-23-26-62-69. He bought the ticket at the Spartan BP on South Aycock Street in Greensboro.

Wright says he didn't know he was walking around with a $1 million ticket in his pocket. He bought it but didn't scan it until Thursday. But they told him he needed to claim his prize at the lottery office but he thought he just won a few hundred dollars not $1 million.

Wright stated in a news release, "You play the lottery, but you never think you're going to win. It's hard to believe, but I'm going to believe it all the way back to Greensboro.

The postman says he plans to pay off his home and now save for the future.
