Jonesville, NC -- New information in the nine-year old murder of a Jonesville police officer may lead investigators to two suspects. On Wednesday the Jonesville police department and the State Bureau of Investigation released composite sketches of two men wanted for questioning in the murder of Sergeant Greg Martin. Police also released pictures of the stolen vehicles they think the men were driving. Someone gunned down Martin just before 3:00 am along I-77 in Jonesville in October of 1996. His co-workers and relatives say they hope recent national attention, and this new information, brings closure to the case. A memorial is set up on I-77 near exit 82 where Martin was killed. Police also posted new "wanted" posters with the composite pictures on them. Anyone with information in the case is asked to call the Jonesville police department.
