Greensboro, NC -- Greensboro voters got the first chance ever to kick a candidate out of office Thursday.
Polls are open for the early voting phase of the Dianne Bellamy-Small recall.
Bellamy-Small was first in line to cast her vote.
She's accused of leaking confidential documents and trying to beat a traffic ticket.
But she says she's done nothing wrong and the recall will fail.
Bellamy-Small said, "Some people feel like where there's smoke there's fire. Well in this case there wasn't."
"There was some charcoal there, but not any fire, okay," she said.
Early voting continues monday through Friday until August 17th from 8 a.m. To 5 p.m.
Polls will also open Saturday August 18th from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
You can vote at the old Guilford County courthouse in Greensboro or cast your ballot at the High Point elections office at 505 East Green Drive.
Election day is August 21st.
Polling places will be open all over District 1 from 6:30 a.m.
until 7:30 p.m.
