Winston-Salem City Employees Honored
Winston-Salem City employees who are veterans will be recognized at a ceremony this morning in the atrium of the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum, 2825 University Parkway, Winston-Salem.
The program will begin at 11 a.m. Charles L. Claybourn, the president of the North Carolina American Veterans (AMVETS) Service Foundation and commander of AMVETS Post 777, will be the guest speaker.
A total of 245 city employees are military veterans, having served in all branches of the armed forces, the Coast Guard, the National Guard and the Merchant Marine.
When: Thursday, November 11, 2010. Breakfast begins at 8:30 a.m. in Caldwell's lunchroom. Special Presentations by Caldwell Students and guest speaker begin at 9:40 a.m. in the Gym.
Visit to Caldwell classrooms by Veteran begin at 10:40 a.m.
