Guilford County, NC -- Two people were killed and several were injured during a wreck on Interstate 85 Monday morning.
Trooper Greg Ingram said crash happened around 11:20am when a Honda was merging from the Highway 62 ramp onto I-85 northbound.
Ingram said it appears that the driver of the Honda, 70-year-old Christina Turkson Sekyi of Charlotte, failed to yield to oncoming traffic and cut directly in front of the truck. He said the truck didn't have enough time to stop and hit the car sending both off the road way.
Sekyi and the driver of the truck, 80-year-old William Ray Farlow of Archdale, were killed in the wreck.
One passenger in the pickup truck was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Another passenger was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Two passengers in the Honda were also treated for non-life threatening injuries.
